******IMPORTANT PRESS RELEASE from Motley fool board CPQ BEATS ESTIMATES BY 7%!! DELL DOWN 30% FROM HIGH
Houston (April 21, 1999) - World leading computer manufacturer Compaq (CPQ) handily beat the street estimates by a whopping 7% ($.16 vs $.15) today. Analyst Dan Mississippi said "It's amazing how this world-class company manages to beat estimates almost every quarter! I recommend that you sell everything in your portfolio and load up on this stock before the next run-up. In addition, they continue to bring in new blood to upper management. This is one of the best run organizations I've ever seen. They continue to outpace their peer group which consists of IBM, HP, APPL, GTWY, and Al's Computer Emporium which is located in downtown Dallas."
In a joint press release, CPQ, IBM, HP, APPL, GTWY, and AL's all said they were now going to emulate the Dell computer model. "This ought to leave Michael Dell shaking in his shorts", said Dan Mississippi.
When questioned about Dell, Mr. Mississippi replied "Well, theres' no question they've been lucky, so far. But I subscribe to the Monkey Theory." When asked what the monkey theory was, Mr. Mississippi replied, "If you put enough monkeys in front of enough typewriters, sooner or later one of them will produce a Shakespeare manuscript. We're betting that one of the monkeys .... er .. competitors will beat Dell at their own game."
Good luck to all, AlphaWolf
