Yes they have made the decision to move away from content and your confident assertion to the contrary isn't going to change that. Ah, where was it mentioned that independent ISPs were going to dominate anything? What people have to understand is the difference between providing connectivity to the global network, providing local sites, providing supersites and providing software tools used to build and navigate those sites. Currently, AOL does all of the above using the lame, proprietary standards developed in a vacuum with absolutely no extensibility to third-party developers. Bill, and millions like him, doesn't get it and for that reason AOL will continue to thrive for several months, thus making it an excellent short target.
