Anthony, notice the following sentence in the report.

percentage points) by an unusually low tax rate for the same period last year, when the company lowered its estimate
of its effective tax rate for the full year.

On a pro-forma basis, reflecting last year's business segments and tax rate, third-quarter 1998 diluted earnings per
share excluding divestiture gains and unusual and non-recurring items would have been $.56. This includes last
year's third-quarter MTG contribution from operations ($.02) and uses the lower effective tax rate of the third-quarter
of 1997 ($.03).

Plus, when the international sales of Viagra kick in, and the negative news subside, things will be back to normal. I am waiting for bottom fishing soon....
