Here is the low down on the acquisitions: PeopleMan was an "off-balance sheet" venture funded by PSFT. The group developed PeopleSoft MFG software, using PeopleTools, PSFT's development toolset. When the software was complete, PSFT acquired PeopleMan. This was the plan from the on-set for PeopleMan Red Pepper provides very sophistocated planning and optimization software, which was integrated into PSFT's mfg software after the acquisition. Salerno Mfg, was acquired to round out the suite of products, offering best of breed quality management software.
