Ken, SUN Ultra 5
Some specs:
Two 16.7 MB/sec EIDE connectors interface to a 4500 rpm, 4.3-GB 3.5-inch internal hard disk drive and the optional 24X CD-ROM.
The Ultra 5 workstation uses an UltraSPARC-IIi Processor Module consisting of a 270 MHz processor, 256 kB external cache, and high speed memory interfaces. The UltraSPARC-IIi has been optimized to the "sweet spot" for typical uniprocessor workstations, providing the ideal feature balance for the majority of high end applications. Built around the latest generation of Sun's SPARC V9 64-bit RISC architecture, the processor is implemented at 0.35 microns, and operates at 2.5 volts, reducing power consumption, and supporting higher frequency operation. The Ultra 10 has a 300 MHz chip.

Don't rely 100% on the accurcy of this: AS far as speed comparisons, a buddy of mine has 5 Sun systems, (he likes computers) one is a 120 MHz (in that range) Sun system, he put it up agaist his friends Dual P200 machine, and the Sun blew its doors off. I am not a tech wizard, but my buddy tells me that you can't compaire a 300mhz Sun to a 300Mhz PC. The Sun is faster, according to him. I am posting this from memory, so please again don't quote me on that. I am getting old and my memory seems to suffer at times.
My main reason I want a Sun, is I am sick of crashes and lock-ups. On days I spend 12-16 hours web page develeopemnt, or graphics, I have many lock-ups system hanging, etc. I have had it. I have done many and I mean many re-install of Windows, because the system gets so unstable, it is very difficult to pin down exactly where the problem is. So I do a complete re-install of the OS.
As far as my time goes, that was a dry humor joke. I see you didn't get it, or maybe it wasn't funny. No problem either way. I was given the name Cheeky Kid many years ago for obvous reasons.
I will be buying a Sun, but I will also be keeping my other systems as well.
I can see from your posts, you are a man of wisdom.
