U make a good point Doctor !

I do follow MCF also and if these 2 break the PP price it is VERY bearish signal IMO.

But let's say a stock trades at $10 and the P decides the stock will stay at this price he then places a very large bid at 9.95 and a very large ask at 10.05.. he 'boxes' the price.. if he buys stock at 9.95 he immediately offers these shares at 10.05.. he 'recycles' the shares
- usually this technique will work at least for a period of time..

PP's IPO's and share issues often make interesting situations for traders : we know what the P desires and we know his 'bottom' price..
at least for a period of time..

there I go again talking to much in public

there is also the 'green shoe' clause in many PP's and IPO's that is worth reflecting upon
