I thought I saw yesterday that the NYSE has relaxed the point swings before any of the "circuit breakers" kick in to slow or temporarily halt trading in the market. I had two opposing thoughts on changing those rules AT THIS TIME (though I agree they needed to be relaxed.) 1-- NYSE directors sure must be confident in the strength of the market to do this before October, with its historically precipitous falls. or 2--(Thinking like a crim) the big money gets short, then is able to allow an even larger plunge before covering.
