IVillage Hires Managers
From the TV Industry

By a WALL STREET JOURNAL Staff Reporter

NEW YORK -- Women's Web site producer iVillage Inc. said it has made a number of management
hires, all from the television industry. The moves are part of iVillage's push to increase advertising
revenue and to develop broadband programming.

The hires also mark the first big initiative from iVillage's new president, Doug McCormick, the former
chief executive of Lifetime Television, the cable channel offering programming for women that is jointly
produced by Walt Disney Co. and Hearst Corp., who was hired in April to run iVillage's day-to-day
operations. The announcement also is one of the few cheery personnel changes at the company, which
has been plagued by high employee turnover and recently lost its chief financial officer and its chief
operating officer.

Debbie Reichig was named senior vice president, marketing and research. Ms. Reichig, 45 years old,
was vice president, sales, research and development at Comedy Central.

Michael Rix was named vice president, revenue planning. Mr. Rix, 48, most recently was the vice
president, business development at E-Commerce Solutions, an e-commerce outsourcing firm in
Stamford, Conn. He also ran the sales force training program for Seltel Television, a firm which sells
adspace on TV shows.

The company has also named Lori Silverman, 44, and Jo Ellen Rix, 41, to jointly serve in the job of vice
president, sales-East Coast region. Both Ms. Silverman and Ms. Rix were senior account executives at
Time Warner Inc.'s City Cable division.
