To All, Ballard is unfolding as it should. Down to 35.50. Still above the midline of recent months.
A parallel opportunity might be Methanex (MX on tse), a major producer of methane from natural gas. Has a plant at Kitimat, is advertizing for hired help. MX is trading around 10.75cdn. I wonder if it has much competition? Ballard Power develops fuel cells that use methane; Methanex makes methane. Pretty simple equation.
Once vehicles start using methane, Methanex will sit pretty tall.
Hydrogen is preferred (no CO2 output) over methane, but methane must be cheaper and likely less explosive.
But Methanex is a big outfit, and growth thus restricted. Is there any other methane producer with more leverage?
