Aah, but you see, it was a *process* error, not a *design* error. Not that I `blame' anyone for it. Foundires are MIPS's partners, and MIPS -- processing no chips of its own -- is in no position to be too hard on the partners that take the risks inherent in designing and implementing chip foundries for the R10000.
