I believe that it's inevitable that another Volcker will come along. Don't know if the current fed has what it takes to do the job they're put there to do, given that the most vocal Volcker supporter there just walked away. Ever since Volcker's comments in New York a few weeks ago the gauntlet has been thrown down. They are already far behind the curve and Bernanke is just trying to talk the dollar up instead of acting IMO. It's only going to make it much uglier when they do finally act. The more things change eh.
