Sonki, re: Small office network

What you have is an SO setup that needs to be all networked together. Win98 can do, but really, every IT guy I know says this is folly and swears by Win NT for this.

You can set up NT to where any user can access there "account" from any PC and all disks, CDs, printers, modems and cameras can be mounted and used from any PC on the net.

With NT, I do not know how to share the CPU resources. To my knowledge, for instance, you cannot actually run Word on a remote processor and see and control it on another. (p.s. this is easily done with Unix). For office applications/home environment this shouldn't be a problem.

Summary - Get NT
