No, your broker did not rip you off. The options trade at different exchanges (eg Chicago, pacific, american). When you look at a quote, generally, Chicago prices are quoted. The quotes on other exchanges may vary. To be sure you get the best price, you should ask your broker to check all exchanges. Sometimes there is significant difference between exchanges.
