I imagine at some point in the future they will hire someone who had a TV show on another network first. (One in the past was Brit Hume, formerly of ABC, he still works for FOX, just not as the lead on a show) A better way of putting it would have been, "It would be stupid for them to replace any of their current staff with ..." Interestingly, FNC has been able to take losers from other channels and make winners out of them. But I'm not sure what the reason for that is. Fox has done a great job of taking over the cable news business. I think it has more to do with Murdoch's knowing how to run a business than it does anything else. It is entirely possible they could take Anderson Cooper and make him a star. I just can't see them replacing anyone they currently have with him.
