Wonderful or not, the point is that their "paying in" doesn't give them a claim on an unlimited amount of resources until they die. They paid in less then they are getting out, if we can't afford to continue to throw more and more money at Social Security, then SS should be "cut". I put cut in quotes since we will still be spending more, there will not be any actual cuts, just what many will falsely call cuts, a slowdown in spending increases.
