Maybe I am missing something in your position here. Are you saying you cannot cut something without raising the tax that supports it? I might understand you saying there will be no raise in benefit without a corresponding supportive tax.

Maybe your brain works like government or the Bizarro world.

There will be no cuts in SS without a corresponding increase in SS taxes.
