ADSN - Texas Instruments and Advanced Systems International Enter into Relationship to Exploit RFID Technology

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Aug 23, 2000 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Advanced Systems
International (OTC Bulletin Board: ADSN), and Texas Instruments Incorporated
(NYSE: TXN) have entered into a lead sharing relationship to exploit RFID (Radio
Frequency Identification) Technology in the manufacturing sector. Extending
ADSN's powerful data collection and data distribution product ATLink(TM), Texas
Instrument's TIRIS(TM) technology harnesses RFID at the entry point for powerful
data collection and data distribution solutions.

AIM (The global trade association of providers and users of components,
networks, systems, and services that manage the collection and integration of
data with information management systems) has forecasted the RFID market to
reach $736 million in 2000.

Gerry Pesut, President and CEO of ADSN commented, "This relationship
demonstrates the advanced applications and capabilities of ATLink technology. We
believe that this relationship with Texas Instruments will not only provide
credibility for our ATLink technology, but also generate significant revenue for
the company as we continue to establish ourselves in the RFID market."

The TIRIS RFID system overcomes many limitations of other automatic data capture
systems. Because it isn't dependent on a human operator, it provides error-free,
"contactless" data transmission and works effectively in harsh environments with
excessive dirt, dust, moisture and extreme temperatures.

Bill Mottram, VP Sales and Marketing for ADSN stated, "The ATLink product
exploits the power and intelligence of TIRIS and RFID Technology to improve shop
floor and tracking information and replaces the limiting abilities of generic
barcodes. Our offering will provide customers with the most powerful data
collection and data distribution tool set in the e-Fulfillment cycle and
including the next generation of electronic commerce."

Today TIRIS is currently the leading supplier of a comprehensive range of
field-proven RFID products used on a broad variety of applications, including
automotive anti-theft systems, logistics management, and automated payment
programs at gas stations across the country. More than 30 million TIRIS tags are
in use worldwide.
