the Tivo and Relay product offerings still use tape as the removable recording medium, with the HDD as a sort of cache? Is that how it works? LT I will have defer that question to someone more technically inclined - i am up to my eyeballs in tax returns and business valuations (of privately held companies). Wouldn't it make sense that the first digital VCRs will make use old technology because of cost considerations?
