I received an e-mail from John Menzies (Pres.) on the 5th of March. He advised that he was in the process of moving to Vancouver. He states that there will be some announcements in the next couple of days and that they are working diligently there at Steppe. His e-mail address is jmenzies@iaccess.com.au If you e-mail him your telephone number he will give you a call and answer all of your questions better than I could. I checked the Participants of Steppe and found that they included several Funds as shareholders (Scudder Gold Fund, Global Strategy Canada Growth Fund etc.) Steppe has some good looking properties in Kazakstan. They are also looking at appointing a Vancouver-based CFO and public relations personnel during 1997. For now I would keep an eye on this stock. Good Luck. Dave
