There is an excellent patent server at patent.womplex.ibm.com , and I have used it to track some patents done by r.dickie, the founder of Paige. The flatplug patent is there; one is 5454731. It allows for a plastic pull tab. Sounds good. Just for amusement, I found there are 47 other patents from Bob Dickie. The guy really is prolific. Granted patents include a wet paint brush holder, vaginal speculum, mouse pad gizmo, etc etc. And some are really recent. Fascinating stuff. The bottom line is, this guy works very hard at inventing, and comes up with a lot of useful and popular things. Really admirable. And a damn good thing that Paige has been taken over by somebody who is able to devote his attention and considerable business skills to making a profit! Stick with Paige, and you may be happy you did. Next step: finding out what the Noma patent claims look like. fred PS----R.Groome (another Paige director) has resigned. This is not a problem, but simply an indication that A. Souza Costa is asserting his control over the board, as expected. I would do the same. No knock on Mr. Groome, at all.
