I enjoyed your case-specific approach to teaching. I believe this particular method of instruction will be very effective since we're all guilty of similar crimes. I would also like to add that putting these abstract words and Latin phrases in all upper-case letters doesn't make them more intelligible. In fact, it only emphasizes the ignorance of the communication. Because I know that I have certain limitations with language, I try to operate effectively within these limitations. Saying something simply does not have to mean saying something simple. Hemingway wrote in a very direct and simple manner. It did not diminish the power of his stories or characters.
