I have owned ICII since last year. Here are my notes. I give them to you in the spirit of sharing -- I am not a know it all.
April 10, 1998 - BA Robertson Stephnes initiated coverage of ICII with a Buy rating and a 12-month price target of $35 per share.
Jan 29, 98 - ICII writes off the final $20 mill of goodwill associated with Auto Markt'g Network.
Dec 5, 1997 - Dabney Resnick Imperial brokerage is renamed Imperial Credit Grp. It will continue to provide brokerage svcs to individuals and institutions.
Nov 21, 1997 - Franchise Mort Accept,fmax, to sell 10 mill shs to public for $18/sh; ICII sells 3.1 mill shs of the total for $92 mill; now owns 38 % of fmac
Nov 6, 1997 - Provision for lease losses incr fr 2.6 mill to 9.6 mill.
October 20, 1997, the Company completed the initial public offering of Imperial Credit Commercial Mortgage Investment Corp. ("ICCMIC") (NASDAQ: ICMI), a Maryland REIT.
October 2, 1997, SPB acquired substantially all of the assets of PrinCap Mortgage Warehouse, Inc and PrinCap Mortgage Backed, L.P. ("PMW"), located in Vorhees, New Jersey
March 1997- ICII sell 370,000 shs of SFC; still has 49% ownership
Nov 1996 - ICII sells 1,000,000 shs of SFC;
Oct 22, 1996 - ICII splits 2-for-1
Oct 1996 - ICII buys AVCO for purpose of expanding its eqpt leasing business
Feb 26, 1997 - ICII pays 10% stock dividend
During 1996 - ICII offers 2.4 mill shs to public, obtains $59.2 mill to finance operations
During 4th qtr 1995 - ICII began to diversify out of its original role into non-prime loans, commercial lending, non-prime auto lending, title 1 home improvement loans.
Oct 23, 1995 - ICII splits 3-for-2
Jun 1995 - ICII buys Franchise Mort Acceptance for purpose of entering franchise lending
May 1995 - ICII buys Concord Acceptance for purpose of entering eqpt leasing
Dec 30, 1993 - ICII pays 10% stock dividend
During 1991 ICII was capitalized to conduct a full service mortgage operation
During 1986 ICII was incorporated by its owner Imperial Bank of Los Angeles (see ownership)
