Yeah, this is the thread I've been looking for! Here is a bit of a Canadian perspective. My bet is that gold will go through the roof this year as people start to panic. I've been accumulating at these bargain basement prices. Also, there inevitably will be some other stocks that will profit enormously from the panic. Everybody keeps talking about stocking up on propane and propane appliances - Superior Propane (TSE:SPF.UN) has my vote on this one. I've been long on SPF for awhile now for other reasons; Y2K just adds to it's appeal. Still trying to pick a few more sure winners but I also intend on being 75% cash to pick up the fallen blue chips around this time next year. Yup, I think we can all make a killing if we do it right.
