You will find a veritable swamp of George Bush weblogs out there.

Your "conspiracy theory" is showing, John.

Well, there are conspiracies and conspiracies. How does the crack go, that conspiracy theories don't work until they do. I'm not talking about classic conspiracy stuff here. Just campaign strategy. If weblogs look to have any measurable impact on campaigning, all candidates will ratchet them up. But who has the big dollars? No question. Where do those big dollars come from? No question. Gonna be fun to watch.

As for projections as to their future importance, it's still too early, in my view. The internet definitely will. You and I have both read stories about the organizational capabilites with the internet, the stories which suggest that the speed with which demonstrations were organized to oppose the Iraqi invasion is a complete result of the internet. But doing large scale public opinion influencing stuff via weblogs? Still, in my view, too early.
