New Options activity in October $15 & $17.50

The $15 call contracts transaction was around 9:40 and the $17.50 were around 9:45. Both transactions were on the high end of the spread, so if either trade was a sell it was pre-arranged. I was not watching the spreads early on, but it may have been simple buys at the market maker's price. It is a lot of contracts so somebody had to be on the phone to line up parties.

There are no corresponding put-side trades, but who knows what common stock positions and/or trades underlie these options trades.

If they were both buys, it is around $50k to control nearly 120k shares if LPL can break through to blue sky territory.
