There are no federal standards for a recount. Ask anybody with specialization in Constituional Law, voting and ballots are determined by county canvassing boards. If voting and recounts are a county issue, how can the US Supreme Court implement uniform standards.
You have to let the counties go about the process, and Bush's suit goes against that process. It would in effect impose Federal will on the people of Florida. Not that it can't work the other way around, but in this case, I think the power lies in the hands of the county.

This isn't a federal case- at best it's a state issue. Everyone just wants to get a slice of pie.
