All the government has to do to promote marriage is tax married people and single people equally

This problem will never be solved as long as everyone focuses on the wrong thing. The problem is not whether or not anyone is married, although that is a factor. The problem is people having children they are not willing or able to properly raise.

I was glad to see the article address a part of this, which is that marriage prospects for unwed mothers are poor and life prospects for their children are likewise poor so they should restrain themselves. The traditionalists don't want to focus on the prevention of high-risk babies. This is an enormous obstacle. Hard to say what the "neo-traditionalists" might have to offer long term. It's good to see them engaged.
