I already laid all of this out. Morality is an internalization of social values. "Internalization" means that we approve or deplore of our own actions in much the same terms as we do the action of others. Since this is our reference point, we have no choice but to square our actions with conscience, that is, with the internalized code. To not do so would be amoral, and move us in the direction of moral irresponsibility. Without an external set of criteria, we have no morality, but are only self- serving. It is not a question of "my reference points", but a common framework of moral deliberation.

I am not sure of the point of your comments on hunter/gatherers.

Yes, proven. They function very well in a wide variety of occupations, and discharge their responsibilities without faltering.......
