Makes great sense to challenge with an "in your face" pricing strategy challenging a manufacturing titan (whose manufacturing costs seem to be lower than yours) when your manufacturing is shaky, your marketing is weak and your strategy is flawed and your auxiliary businesses are weak. Oh yes, your finances are scary too. There is a fairly real chance that within 1 year, AMD will no longer be an independent company. Hey, if that's the kind of company you think deserves investment capital, that's your choice.

Oh yes, the K7. All the ballots aren't in yet. Looks good on paper. Runs super warm at .25 (60 watts). Needs a bailout of .18 process in Dresden using a borrowed process that may have one or two holes in it.
First benchmarks so-so but might be better in production version. Is it a sure thing? Place your bets.
