Over 5,000 of AOL's 7,000+ employees are customer service. And they sit in expensive 1-800, PC-networked laden call-center infrastructure at multiple locations cost-to-coast. IMHO, AOL's new even more simplified service layout is aimed in large part at reducing support, which I'd guess now eats 25% or more of AOL revenue.
