Iraq is a 'nation'. Afghanistan is a nation (albeit, not much of a poster boy for one). We attacked these nations, fought whatever armies they had, etc. (In WW II, we fought against the nations of Germany and Japan....) Al Qaeda, however, is not a 'nation'. What were you trying to say?
