David, you are brave. I think you'll do fine though. MSFT earnings was the last big hurrah for this qtr
(ending Mar 31st). Dell is later in May though, for qtr ending 4-30, so Dell expectations will probably
keep the techs from totally falling apart until after they report. After Dell reports, I wouldn't want to be
long anything tech.


I am long Apple - it is still undervalued on fundamentals and has a lower beta than most tech stocks. Ditto for National Semiconductor though that went down on bad news yesterday. Also long Globalink a tiny translation software company. MSFT with a beta of 1.28 is for me a short term speculation play and a hedging strategy. You are absolutely right - I wouldn't want to be long any of the overvalued high beta tech stocks. My average price on MSFT is $92.91.
