I received my monthly version of Design News today, a mag for mechanical engineering. They listed a UNIX -v- NT comparison. Twenty different mechanincal design packages were listed and none of them can run on an Apple system. Seems to me if Apple wants to become a viable alternative to WinTels they will have to penetrate all markets. The NT market has penetrated into 15% of the total base while UNIX continues to drop. It's just another market niche that Microsoft is expanding.
