Thanks. It's hard for me to conceive that atheism is a "rewarded" stance in our society (heck, the atheist community doesn't even get those great tax exemptions! Au contraire, it pays taxes to support the religious communities' exemptions-- in return for which support, it receives no rewards at all!), but I'll be fascinated if it turns out that among the highest echelon scientific intellects where there is "extreme atheism," this comes from atheism being "rewarded." (In some way other than by a possible increase in intellectual functionality, an explanatory hypothesis that just occurred to me and in support of which I have neither evidence nor intuition).
