1. 70M is chump change to MS.

2. Having been in the software business I have seen very good companies destroyed by MS practices such as the windows monopoly. It is very difficult to compete with MS applications on windows, historically they have tweaked their os to make competitors products work poorly or incompatibly.

3. That is one reason Google does not run MS software on its servers.

4. MS attempts to undercut everyone, monopolize the market and then raise prices.

5. Why do you think google software (such as gmail, google calendar, and their soon to be announced word processor) is free? You cant under cut free.

6. IMHO Google is hitting MS where it lives -- in its MS Office desk top apps, while My SQL is kicking them in their database.

It couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch.
