Bro. James, you wrote, " I saw that you were taking a stance alongside Emile in his anti-Talmud rantings. " Will you do me a great favor and show me where I took this stand concerning the Talmud. It would be impossible for me to have knowingly done that because I know very little about it. All I can say is it is a Jewish religious book. I have always thought it was part of the Bible until I ask about it last year. In fact I made a post a long time ago trying to get information on just exactly what it was. The only person who responded was Emile. I don't remember what he said about it, except maybe it was not the original or something to that effect and that it contained Anti-Christ language. I don't own the book, neither have I read it or any part of it. So I am in the dark on this.
I have agreed with Emile on some of his beliefs about the True Israel of God. For instance, I do believe that Christians are the true Jews and that the Christian Church is the true Israel of God; a new race of spiritual people chosen of God and given His devine nature by the second birth by the Holy Spirit. I have posted the Scriptures that I believe teach that. These were posted recently and way back last year before I knew Emile existed. The first I heard of Emile was when he responded to one of my posts to Shalom concerning a question Shalom had ask me about first century Jews( I think).
Additionally, I do believe, as I have stated before, some of Emile's ideas about the Bible are compatible with my ideas. We arrived at these conclusions before we had ever posted to each other. This in no way is associated to any hatred for anyone. I also disagree with Emile, as I'm sure he does with me, about some of his ideas from Scripture. This no way inflames me to start making wild accusations about him and I am thankful that he doesn't make wild accusations about me. WE simply were passing our ideas back and forth about the Book of Revelation and God's New Israel. Disagreement doesn't mean we hate each other. Speaking for myself, it means he has a right to his opinio and I have a right to mine. Thank God for the freedom we have in America.
I find it very curious that people get accussed of posting hate when there is no way they can see the heart of the one posting. Does this mean I am taking up for Emile and advocating the things he believes? No! Does this mean I am not taking up for Emile? No! The truth is this, a person cannot see the heart of another. Therefore, they cannot judge motives. As an example, suppose I offered you a $5 bill. Could you discern what my motive was? Let me try another. Suppose you see me in church every Sunday morning and night and Wednesday night prayer meeting and Bible Study. Then you see me out visiting to invite people to church. Some people come and accept Jesus as their savior. Have there been fruits produced? Putting all that you know about me together, you may then judge me to be a good Christian person. However, my real motive was to build a good reputation among the church people so I could sell them new cars from my dealership. (Jer 17:9 NASB) ""The heart is more deceitful than all else And is desperately sick; Who can understand it?"
Please let me restate my earlier request, "Will you do me a great favor and show me where I took this stand concerning the Talmud." I would appreciate that very, very much.
Question, If Jesus said today what He said 2000 years ago, would He not be accused of being a hate monger. Assuming people didn't know who He was. Here are somethings He said. Can you imagine the hatred they had for Him. Yep, enough to kill Him.
(Mat 15:7 KJV) "Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying," (Mat 15:8 KJV) "This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me." (Mat 15:9 KJV) "But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men."
(John 8:43 KJV) "Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word." (John 8:44 KJV) "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it." (John 8:45 KJV) "And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not."
Bro James, I am not in any way attacking you as a person. I am first interested in trying to get people to see that the heart of a person can only be decerned by God. That is why He shall judge, he knows all and is righteous. Secondly, and this is repititious, I am interestd in the post(s) that you think I support Emile about Talmud. Apparently, others think the same. However, I don' t think I stated that.
In Christ,
