<<<multiplayer gaming could be hot>>>>, Mike, the games companys sure hope it's hot, that's their new creed, multiplayer is the future. They are making everything multiplayer, and forgeting about solo players. Although Unreal was a nice suprize.I find multiplayer games a pain in the ass now. I spent years on Kali, enjoying games, then the P-Killers, Grunt Rushers, Hacked Characters,Lag,Boot programs, showed up and really ruined the whole concept. <<a moderated exchange for matching players>>> Have you tried any of the pay services?, i never have myself. I hear it is possible to find matched players, and you don't have to put up with alot of the net trolls. I'm to cheap myself, i solved my whole multiplayer problem by setting up a LAN.
It's going to getting really interesting in this industry. My average price for a game now, with rebates, t-shirts is anywhere from 24 to 29 bucks. I buy and trade games over in Usenet, the last game i bought retail was Might and Magic 6 for $19.99 :-) Eventually the games will just be $29.99 on the shelfs, and with 1600 of them on the way, who's going to play them?
MPRS has good licenses, i think a company that has no debt will buy them. The debt is useful to them. TLC bought BROD to cover their debt. ERTS or MSFT would be a good partner for MPRS.
Have a good weekend and 4th of july.
