Well the money is now drying up. This is when we need to ask ourselves, "Are we getting our money's worth?" If not, then some things have to change.

We are...only the lowly among professionals embark on a teaching career these days...it's partly why we have slipped to embarrassing levels on a world scale. Teachers should be revered..instead we demonize them and pay them less then a factory worker.

I asked SilentZ a while back, "What if we increased the pay of inner city school teachers in Los Angeles to $200K? What would improve?" If the answer is "not much," then the problem isn't teacher pay.


It's an exaggerated question, but certainly better pay scale attracts better talent...
