Bill, thanks for the information about Empire Financial. It's always good to have alternatives available. I checked out their web site and it appeared that that the free commission is limited to market orders only. That's what I really like about Web Street Securities - the free commission applies to limit orders also. And I have a lot more flexibility with the minimum price for the stock being >= $ 2. But Empire's free commission did apply to both Nasdaq and Exchange Listed stocks which is a plus albeit for a minimum of $ 5 at market. Anyways, I appreciate the information.
