No, actually not in the stock market. I was speaking of Pierpont Morgan and not Jack Morgan, J.P. Morgan Junior.

Pierpont really did make his money almost everywhere but the stock market. Underwriting included.

Unless you are saying that he made the money underwriting debt issues and taking a fee for that. Of course, yes. He was not adverse to making money underwriting debt.
