They are already third-world countries, supported by undemocratic regimes, who are in turn supported only by us. The multinational coalition will undoubtedly rush to their support once oil becomes cheap enough to affect their violence levels.

We're not talking a lot of money here, to maintain healthy living conditions. It's the guys at the top that squander 2/3 of the wealth. If they go, it's no loss.
