Bidder, to help with that boredom, pick up a copy of "Trading for a living" by Alexander Elder.

It explains the psychology of investing (and emotions such as boredom), as well as plenty of technical analysis techniques.

If you let boredom/excitement dictate how you trade, you'll just lose money.
