<<< Could you give me one example of a glaring lie that has to be exposed.

Kerry has told the "Christmas 68 in Cambodia" story for many years. That was clearly an invention. Even the Kerry campaign is backing off from it; now they are trying to claim he went to Cambodia at some other time. The other Swiftboat officers clearly state that marked Swiftboats did not go to Cambodia.>>>

That does seem to be the most glaring lie that the Swiftboaters are trying to prove.

The facts as far as I can tell is that John Kerry did serve on a gunboat Christmas 1968 on the Mekong River near the Cambodia border.

John Kerry and his men on the gunboat are the only ones that really know if they received hostile gunfire or not.

My guess is that neither John Kerry nor his men could really vouch for the fact they went into Cambodia or not. I doubt there were any signs on the Mekong River that indicated they crossed over into Cambodia or not. I just can't imagine a sign that read, "Welcome to Cambodia. Signed Pol Pot".

The Swiftboaters better have more than that.

This may backfire on them. They are attacking a person who voluntarily served his country in a combat situation, was wounded three times, and received two very honorable awards for heroism - and they are asking for proof that he may have been in Cambodia Christmas 1968.

Meanwhile they are supporting someone who can't get one person to testify that they saw Bush actually show up for duty - although there is proof he received a pay check - in the Alabama National Guards (not that that matters all that much - it is just the contrast).
