Andrew, Maybe you didn't understand my last post. When Charley veered to the east, it was headed straight for Orlando. Later reports said that it would clip the city on the west side. I haven't seen any reports yet today, so don't know if there was any damage. Evidently, the storm had been reduced to a category 2, and there were no indications of serious injury in it's path. Quite a lot of damage on the coast at land fall, and all the way up to Arcadia, which is only about 40 or fo miles SW of Orlando.
