It's interesting that shorting the common against a holding of warrants is not considered shorting. This is a true hedge, so it's understandable. However I heard a Hedge fund "manager" on BNN boasting that his hedge fund was 55% short and only 45% long. I wonder if he calls that hedging too... I wonder if that too enables him to do it legally ? ! But do shorts really hedge longs when they are unrelated ?. Is he really "hedging" ?

Semantics is all important.... but who police's the meaning of words ? lol
