The US already out spends china and india and cannot keep up. The president cannot influence the schools, only the anger of the parents and the rage of the voters will solve the problem, and even then it won't be fixed if the Democrats are in power. money is not the problem, the rot in the school system is. Can't blame the democrats - they haven't been in power. The republicans held both chambers of congress and the Presidency - they could have done anything they wanted. It's all about priorities; you want war to be a priority you get wars. You want education and the education of engineers and scientist to be a priority you get education.
