dybdahl, re:Why will it succeed in the desktop market? Because it performs well and is cheap. That's a good start, but what is/will be the compelling desktop application to get desktop users interested in Linux over a MSFT OS and application combo? I have no doubts Linux is a great OS, able to leap tall buildings, etc. the server admins and engineers are already on board. I have grave doubts about the desktop users.
