Steven, I all due respect, I believe at the time StrataCOm and Cascade were neck and neck. Furthermore it is my humble belief that it was part of Cisco's plan that by purchasing an ATM company they slowed down its acceptance at a critical time...just when IP was begining to take a stronger hold. If CSCO had purchased CSCC and ASND purchased STRM things would likely be different. I think the results are a function more of environment than expertise. Just one mans opinion. LU indeed got a great company for the $20B. I thought you were implying that they purchased ASND for the SS7 stuff... My mistake.. OG
