I have already posted that to Kiriakos from 1st call, for obvious reasons I can not post a complete article but it did not sound good for intel on top of that we had negative 110M on money flow chart for intel

all in all it looks like a loose loose situation for intel

:52am EST 5-Dec-96 Bernstein (Vadim Zlotnikov 212/756 - 4663) ADI
AMD CYRX
......
- AMD is better positioned than CYRX to capture share during 1997; AMD currently sells over 1.5MM microprocessor units per quarter into the PC market -- good customer base. Furthermore, on the spot market, AMD parts sell at a lower discount than those of CYRX (see Exhibit 5).
- Under a conservative assumption of 3.1MM K-6 units shipped during 1997 (vs 5MM planned), AMD could earn close to $1.00 in 1997 and exit the year at a $0.70 run-rate. This would drive 1998 EPS estimates to $3+, with $35 stock.
.......
This would permit INTC to meet (or slightly exceed) aggressive EPS estimates. The three ways to lose are: 1) Loss of 10% market share to AMD/CYRX, 2) Mix shift in PCs toward lower price points (making it more difficult to capture more silicon value), and 3) DirectX-driven proliferation of high-end multimedia engines for PCs, which offer better price/performance for the audio/video applications.
......

oh huh, so many ways to loose for intel, don't you think? Especially considering that intel itself consided at least 20% of the market to amd/cyrx.

-Albert
