MediaX and Liquid Audio Sign Agreement to Launch 70,000 Liquid Downloads on amuZnet.com
Liquid Audio's Retail Integration and Fulfillment System (RIFFS) Will Enable amuZnet.com, a Leading Online Music Destination, To Sell Downloads From 8,500 Artists on 1,400 Labels
CULVER CITY, Calif., and REDWOOD CITY, Calif., April 13 /PRNewswire/ -- MediaX Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: MXMX - news), a leading Internet design studio and online entertainment destination network and Liquid Audio, Inc. (Nasdaq: LQID - news), a leading provider of software and services for the Internet delivery of music, today announced they have teamed up to significantly expand MediaX's digital download library on www.amuZnet.com. This agreement will provide amuZnet with one of the largest selections of promotional and saleable downloads, featuring music from more than 8,500 artists on 1,400 labels.

MediaX plans to use Liquid Audio's secure music delivery software and services to sell digital downloads alongside its other products currently available on amuZnet. Liquid Audio's retail integration and fulfillment system (RIFFS), will enable amuZnet to promote and sell more than 70,000 singles from a growing catalog with CD-quality sound, online lyrics, liner notes and album art, regardless of format. RIFFS will allow amuZnet to integrate these downloads into its existing user environment, so consumers can purchase these downloads right from the amuZnet shopping cart. amuZnet also plans to add its own content to Liquid Audio's extensive catalog by procuring and selling exclusive downloads by George Thorogood, Lynyrd Skynyrd and other artists.

``amuZnet is committed to being a premier music destination on the Internet by offering a wide variety of valuable services to our millions of visitors. This relationship with Liquid Audio is an important part of providing one of the most comprehensive digital download experiences available today. This makes amuZnet even more interesting to our loyal visitors and sets us apart even more from our competition. We expect our new download section to be a key player in an ever expanding and now solidly established digital download market,' said Jerry Slavonia, director of marketing at MediaX.

``Liquid Audio's music delivery software and services provide important retail integration capabilities that will enable amuZnet to incorporate digital music downloads into their site and e-commerce structure,' said Dan Steiny, senior director of Affiliate Services at Liquid Audio, Inc. ``The addition of amuZnet to the Liquid Music Network extends the reach of Liquid Audio's distribution network and helps ensure consumers will find Liquid Downloads at their favorite online music destinations.'

Liquid Audio's open software and services for digital music delivery enable music merchants to integrate digital music downloads into their sites and sell them alongside physical goods. Liquid Audio's retail integration and fulfillment system (RIFFS) provides the application software that merchants use for distribution, tracking and commerce integration of digital music. RIFFS provides the content, security, digital rights management and CD-quality sound that fuels music downloads on major Internet music sites. Liquid Audio's open distribution system also enables merchants to sell music regardless of the format. Liquid Audio now distributes music using technologies including: mp3, Dolby Digital AAC, Sony ATRAC3 and Windows Media. In addition, Liquid Audio and IBM announced last week that they will team up to enable Liquid Audio to integrate IBM's Electronic Media Management System (EMMS) DRM technology into the Liquid Music Distribution System.
